EU policies, finance and cooperation with Africa

At the center of the 2026 edition: European energy policies, financial instruments and containment of energy costs. In line with the Mattei Plan, the fair also strengthens cooperation with Africa through the new Africa Investment HUB area, dedicated to networking and investments.

The program includes over 150 events, 90 of which are managed by the Scientific Technical Committee. Among the main events of the first day: the KEY Energy Summit, the ForumTech of Italia Solare, focus on artificial intelligence applied to the decarbonisation of the built environment and the Clean Industrial Deal.

Efficiency, renewables and smart buildings

With 24 pavilions spread over 125 thousand m2 and divided into seven thematic areas (solar, wind, hydrogen, energy efficiency, storage, e-mobility and Sustainable City), for the first time KEY occupies almost the entire Rimini exhibition centre.

The area dedicated to photovoltaics is growing, with a pavilion entirely reserved for EPC contractors and finance, while the HOME project debuts in energy efficiency – Healthy, Optimized, Measured, Efficient, a 100% smart and sustainable home. In pavilion D4 there is space for the Innovation District, with 32 startups and innovative SMEs and the Green Jobs & Skills initiative to encourage meetings between businesses and professionals.

DPE – International Electricity Expo is also taking place at the same time as KEY, dedicated to the electricity generation, transmission and distribution chain.
