Energy transition at risk: Anima Confindustria defends the 65% Ecobonus

Anima Confindustria’s alarm

Anima Confindustria, the trade federation representing various and related mechanical engineering companies, expressed dissent towards this measure.

Pietro Almicipresident of the association, underlined the importance of maintain the Ecobonus rate at 65% for 2025in line with the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC). According to Anima Confindustria, in fact, encouraging energy efficiency interventions is crucial for reduce CO₂ emissions and improve the sustainability of the Italian building heritage.

The amendments under discussion

At the House Budget Committee, debates are underway on amendments toarticle 8 of the Budget Bill. The proposals aim to re-establish the current situation
to today, where I am valued at a higher rate the interventions of high energy efficiency.

The main objective is avoid the risk of a slowdown in the energy transition and a further one negative impact on the construction sectoralready in pain.

The strategic role of the Ecobonus

The Ecobonus is considered one key tool for the promotion of energy efficiency in Italy. With a 65% deduction, it favors interventions that improve the environmental sustainability of buildings, such asinstallation of low consumption heating systems or replacement of fixtures.

The sector represented by Anima Confindustria

Anima Confindustria represents an industrial sector of great importance for the Italian economy: 221,700 employeesa turnover of 55.5 billion euros and an export impact of over 60%. The macro-sectors represented include construction, energy production, safety and the environment. This makes a dialogue with the Government even more urgent to guarantee stability and sustainability to the sector.
