In Thailand, Bouygues Construction lands a spectacular new contract. Its local subsidiary, Bouygues-Thai, will build a luxury residential tower in Pattaya 56 floors and 239 meters high. A construction site of more than 60,000 m2which will have to deal with a dense urban environment, seismic constraints and a cantilevered swimming pool.
Located on Pattaya-Na Kluea Road, North Pattaya, ONCE Wongamat will rise 56 floors. Located in the north of Pattaya, Pattaya-Na Kluea Road connects the city center to the residential area of Na Kluea and Wongamat. The route starts in particular from the Dolphin Roundabout, one of the main crossroads in the north of the seaside resort, before going up towards Na Kluea and the coast. A 239 meter tower in the heart of Pattaya
In Asia, Bouygues Construction continues its development in high-rise construction. At the end of June 2026, the group, via its subsidiary Bouygues-Thaiwas chosen by the promoter Honor Thailand to design and build ONCE Wongamatan imposing residential program which will take place in the North Pattaya.
With its 56 floors and 239 meters in height, the tower expected to be among the tallest in Thailand. The project, designed byThai agency D103i – Design 103 International –, will develop more than 60,000 m2 and will include 548 high-end apartments.
The building will also include five commercial spaces and a long list of amenities for residents: swimming pools, including a rooftop infinity pool, spa, sauna, onsen Japanese, fitness area, yoga studio, hammams, private cinema, arcade room, golf simulator, training areas coworking and private rooms. Finally, cafes, a restaurant and sky bars will enrich daily life, all supported by a concierge service, 24-hour security and covered parking.

A cantilevered swimming pool among the technical challenges
THE Underpinning works, carried out by Bouygues-Thai and Siam Tone Cobegan in February 2026 and is due to end in August. This first phase is based in particular on drilling in the rock, using the technique of rock coringin order to achieve the foundations of the future tower.

The site will then enter its construction phase with the launch of the superstructure, planned for a duration of approximately 30 months. The creation of this low-carbon concrete structure will be accompanied by several technical challenges, starting with the construction of a cantilevered swimming pool, which will extend beyond the building. An exercise all the more complex as the construction of a high-rise tower in a seismic zone requires solid technical mastery, an area in which Bouygues Construction boasts recognized experience – its Thai subsidiary notably built the Mahanakhon tower in Bangkok, culminating at 314 meters and comprising 77 floors.

The project will also have to deal with several logistical constraints, in a particularly dense area of Pattaya. In particular, no activity can be carried out on the site after 6 p.m., while the teams will have to manage traffic such as the supply of materials in the city center. To maintain the schedule, they will rely on digital tools to optimize deliveries during available time slots and limit congestion around the site. Up to 700 people could be mobilized simultaneously at the height of activity. “Bouygues Construction puts its expertise in high-rise projects at the service of ONCE Wongamat, a benchmark in the luxury residential sector. After Mahanakhon, a new Thai challenge
ONCE Wongamat is not the first skyscraper built by Bouygues-Thai. The subsidiary already has several major references in the country, including the Mahanakhon tower in Bangkok.
Delivered in 2016, this emblematic tower peaks at 314 meters. Its unique architecture, marked by a pixelated facade and a particularly complex geometry, required the implementation of sophisticated structural solutions. Nearly 30% of the slabs were thus made cantilevered, without direct vertical support. Bouygues Construction now boasts more than 80 high-rise projects carried out around the world. Its international subsidiary is involved in particular in structural calculations, load distribution, facade design and even the consideration of seismic risks. With ONCE Wongamat, the group therefore adds a new reference to its Thai portfolio.
