Edilteco France today enriches its catalog with a news solution dedicated to media preparation: KRONOS AUTOLIVA self-leveling fiber leveling coating from 1 to 10 mm intended for interior floors.

So far, Edilteco France offered a wide range of lightweight, high-performance mortars and screeds. With the arrival of KRONOS AUTOLIV, the company completes its expertise by integrating a solution that perfectly complements its existing systems. Designed for new construction sites as well as for renovation operations, this new coating guarantees an optimal finish of the support before laying coverings such as tiles, parquet, flexible or rigid plastic coverings, or even textiles, in premises classified P2 and P3. For applicators, the interest is immediate: having, from a single contact, a complete and coherent range – from the formulation of mortars and lightweight screeds to the final preparation of the support – with compatible, high-performance products designed to work synergistically across the entire floor system.

A fiber, self-leveling and high-performance solution

Edilteco France offers with KRONOS AUTOLIV a self-leveling fiber floor coating designed for flatness recovery, specifically compatible with EDILTECO® light screeds and mortars ≥ 300 kg/m3. Classified according to standard EN 13813 CT-C30-F6it meets the highest requirements in terms of mechanical performance, with a compressive strength of 30 MPa and one bending strength of 6 MPa. This combination makes it a natural technical complement to the range, particularly suitable for premises subject to P2 and P3 demands, in new construction as well as renovation.

The solution has a double advantage:

– on the one hand, high mechanical resistance – superior to that of many comparable products on the market;

– And, on the other hand, optimization of construction time thanks to rapid commissioning times – pedestrian traffic after approximately 4 hours, installation of tiling or textile coverings in 24 hours, plastic floors in 48 hours, parquet glued in 96 hours –, a decisive advantage in order to streamline the sequence of trades and secure execution schedules.

Versatile and compatible with the majority of coverings – glued tiles, floating or glued parquet, flexible or rigid plastic coverings, textile floors – as well as with thin acoustic systems and SPEC/SEL type water protection, KRONOS AUTOLIV is a complete and reliable technical solution. It should be noted that it is designed to be covered, not being intended to remain visible, its role being exclusively to ensure the quality and regularity of the support before finishing. © Edilteco

Careful execution, key to system performance

The supports must imperatively comply with the texts in force – standards, DTU and technical specifications – in order to guarantee the reliability and sustainability of the implementation.

On the supports, the application of Edilstik® latex-based bonding primer is systematic and adapts to the porosity of the support. The mixture is carried out strictly respecting the dosage and until a creamy, homogeneous paste without lumps is obtained. The mixture rests for 2 to 3 minutes, then is mixed again just before use, avoiding any excess water. © Edilteco

L’application is carried out in a single pass using a stainless steel smoother. During the first pass, the product is pulled “at zero”, with a more vertical inclination of the tool, in order to fill the pores of the support and promote the evacuation of air; on the return, the blade is inclined more to adjust the thickness and obtain a perfectly regular surface. In case ofusing a debubbler rollerthis occurs immediately after application, in a continuity of action, in order to optimize the flatness and the quality of finish.

The thickness used depends on the classification of the premises: from 1 to 10 mm for spaces classified P2, and from 3 to 10 mm for premises classified P3.

As with all application of technical mortarsite conditions must be strictly controlled: implementation between +5°C and +30°C, on a dry, healthy, non-frozen, non-soggy and non-overheated surface, avoiding drafts and direct exposure to the sun during the first hours, in order to guarantee the performance and durability of the system.

By integrating KRONOS AUTOLIV into its offering, Edilteco France allows applicators to have, from a single supplier, a complete and coherent solution: leveling, screeds and light mortars, as well as complementary systems. © Edilteco
