Elected at the head of the FFB, Frédéric Carré will succeed Olivier Salleron in June 2026, in a context of transformation and major challenges for the building sector.
At the end of the board meeting on Friday March 20, 2026, Frédéric Carré was elected president of the French Building Federation. He will officially take up his duties on June 19, at the end of the organization’s next council meeting, succeeding Olivier Salleronin office since 2020.
A single round of voting
This Friday morning, a single round of voting will have been enough to decide between the candidates: the Toulouse Frédéric Carré imposes himself at the head of the French Building Federationhas Paris. The latter clearly won with 107 votes, ahead of :
– Jacques Blanchet (51 votes), originally from Lyon ;
– And Christophe Possémé (36 votes), based in Reims.
A clear victory, which gives him a three-year mandate at the head of the professional organization.
From FBTP 31 to FFB: a committed route
Long-time involved in professional bodies, with nearly twenty years of activism within the sector, Frédéric Carré notably chaired the FBTP 31 between 2012 and 2018, before taking the helm of the French Building Federation Occitanie. He will officially take on his new functions during the congress scheduled for June 18.

Touched, likeentire construction sectorby the construction crisis, the CEO of the Carré Group had initiated protection proceedings with the Toulouse commercial court in October 2023 in order to restore its business.
