The Quéguiner Group is inaugurating a new BPE plant in order to support the evolution of concrete uses while meeting the technical, environmental and industrial requirements of the Breton territory.
THE Quéguiner group inaugurates at Guipavas (29) a new ready-mixed concrete plant designed to support the diversification of uses such asevolution of demand for concrete.
Founded in 1948, the Quéguiner group is a family business firmly established in Brittany and in Loire-Atlantique. Specializing in the design, production, marketing and transport of construction materials, the group relies on a structured network of sales agencies, industrial sites and a dedicated logistics fleet to support professionals and individuals in their construction, renovation and development projects.
The group employs 1,165 employees and achieved a turnover of 311 million euros in 2024. Its territorial network is based on 45 commercial agencies, 13 ready-mixed concrete plants and 9 production sites, spread across five western departments. This dense regional presence allows the group to respond as closely as possible to the needs of construction players throughout its territory of activity.
THE Quéguiner Group continues its territorial network in Brittany
L’opening of the new BPE plant in Guipavas fits into the will of Quéguiner group to continue the development of its production capacities in the Finistèrea historic territory where the group has built a large part of its industrial base. This new generation production tool, which represents an investment of 3.8 million euros entirely financed by the company, takes over from the old power plant Gouesnoucalled to permanently cease its activity.
Beyond the renewal of industrial equipment, this commissioning illustrates an organic growth strategy based on a regular and proactive investment program, driven by an intelligent reading of the needs of the territory. In the ready-mixed concrete sectora fresh product by nature whose distribution is generally organized within a radius of approximately one hour around the production site, industrial proximity indeed constitutes a determining factor.
By gradually strengthening its network of locations in Brittanythe group thus seeks to combine several objectives:
– guarantee a technical response adapted to the delivery constraints of the BPE;
– Optimize logistics flows in order to limit the distances traveled and, consequently, the environmental footprint of transport;
– Consolidate its ability to support the development of construction sites and construction stakeholders throughout its territory of activity.
A production tool at the cutting edge of BPE standards
With the commissioning of its new ready-mixed concrete plantTHE Quéguiner group equips its concrete activity with an industrial tool designed to support market developments observed over the past fifteen years. The rise of technical solutions such as fluid screeds, decorative concretes, formulations incorporating recycled aggregates or even low-carbon concretes has in fact profoundly transformed the expectations of project owners, as well as construction companies.
From this perspective, the configuration of the plant was designed from its design to respond to this growing diversification of uses, in order to produce a wider range of formulations. This new equipment thus offers Quéguiner Concrete the means to anticipate the expected recovery of the building sector, while consolidating its capacity to offer technical solutions adapted to the needs of construction.

Beyond its industrial performance, the plant also meets the most recent environmental standards in terms of resource management and limitation of nuisances. The site is notably equipped with a water recycling station used in the manufacturing process, making it possible to separate liquid fractions from solid elements. The water thus recovered is reintroduced into the production cycle, just like the sands and aggregates extracted during treatmentin a logic of resource valorization.
Furthermore, the entire industrial tool has been designed to limit noise emissions and dust discharges, while the silos are equipped with filters intended to retain fine particles. A specific rainwater management and regulation system was also designed and deployed by Urvoyindustrial entity belonging to the group.
Located on the Lavallot Nord business park, Guipavasthe central is part of a broader development project carried out by BMa as project owner. This activity zone falls under the labeling system Qualiparcapproved by the Brittany regionaimed at improving the environmental, landscape and functional quality of Breton industrial and artisanal areas.
