Focus on innovation and technologies applied to the person
The exhibition proposal of TechCare Expo includes a vast range of technologies and services aimed at the medical, social-healthcare and personal care sectors: rehabilitation devices, digital technologies for hospitals and social-healthcare facilities, solutions for accessibility and implementation of autonomy.
In this context, the event represents a showcase of interest also for technicians and professionals who deal with technological integration in built spaces and social-welfare services, with possible impacts on the design, management of accessibility and setup of living and care environments.
Conferences and workshops for designers
TechCare Expo it is not only an exhibition area but also a container for conferences, seminars, workshops and moments of in-depth analysis. The program is structured to encourage dialogue between businesses, professionals, public bodies and institutional representatives, with the aim of outlining new trajectories of innovation and sustainability in the field of health and personal services.
Although the main focus is on the health and care system, various training initiatives and networking sessions may be relevant for designers and technicians involved in the creation of healthcare infrastructures, enabling devices and spaces for autonomy, where architectural quality, safety, accessibility and technology intertwine.
For example, two events in particular are especially relevant for architects, engineers and designers in general. The workshop Planning the reception. Conscious design, experiences and projects for places of hospitality, culture and inclusive tourism (Architects: 3 CFP, Engineers: 3 CFP, Surveyors: 2 CFP, Surveyors: 3 CFP) addresses the topic of inclusive design in accommodation facilities, with a focus on technological solutions, building components and furnishings capable of improving accessibility and the user experience. An area that directly affects hotel and tourism planning, especially in light of regulatory evolution and the growing attention towards universal accessibility.
The exhibition will also be presented during the event Take a Holiday!which collects examples of tourist hospitality spaces set up with furnishings, products and technologies designed to be accessible, inclusive and attentive to people’s needs.
The conference is more institutional but equally operational The experience of Municipalities in the application of the Regional Guidelines for PEBAdedicated to Plans for the Elimination of Architectural Barriers. The meeting offers a concrete comparison between local administrations on the implementation of regional guidelines, providing useful ideas for municipal technicians, designers and consultants involved in drafting or updating PEBAs and planning urban accessibility.
An appointment for networking and professional development
With the idea of creating a hub of knowledge and innovation, TechCare Expo is aimed at all operators in the world of care – from public and private healthcare to home and residential care services – offering opportunities for technical updating and discussion on emerging technologies, including the digitalisation of processes and applications oriented towards personal support systems.
For designers, in particular, the appointment can serve as a moment of reflection on the integration between the design of spaces dedicated to health, digital technologies and the needs of accessibility and autonomy.
