PBS, the Paris Building Show which brings together Interclima, Batimat, Idéobain and Renodays, opened Monday morning at Porte de Versailles in Paris. We started with Interclima with market results according to Uniclima.

In opening of the Interclima showwe went to listen Stanislas Lacroix, president of Uniclima and CEO of Aldèspresent what he calls “a tense and contrasting first quarter for Climate Engineering“. Of course, the overall context does not help: less than 300,000 housing units started in 2026 according to FFB forecasts, energy renovation is still falling at -1.1% over the year according to CAPEB forecasts, even if this decline is slowing down.
Stanislas Lacroix explains that sales of fuel boilers will collapse by 23% in the first half of 2026. Even with the resumption of sales of heat pumps, manufacturers will sell 60,000 to 70,000 fewer generators in France in the first half of 2026 compared to 2025. ©PP
Air/water pacs are starting again after two years of decline
THE hot water heating is falling. There will be a shortage of between 80,000 and 100,000 generators over the entire year of 2026. The renewed sales of 23,000 to 25,000 air/water pacs expected for 2026 will not compensate for thecollapse in boiler sales. THE gas and oil boilers decreased by 23.4% during the first half of 2026, reaching 169,000 devices compared to 220,700 in the first half of 2025. This drop reflects in particular the effort of public authorities in favor of electrification.
On the other hand, after two years of decline, air/water heat pump are starting again: 14.7% in the first half and sales are accelerating since they are increasing by more than 20% in August 2026 compared to 2025. The EECs have been improved, the plan for pacs manufactured in Europe has been in place since September 1, …
But here, Stanislas Lacroix recalls, for the moment, the EEC bonuses in favor of CAPs end at the end of December 2026. Uniclima requests five-year stability of support systems. The entire profession has been asking for this for around ten years in vain. THE air/air heat pumps of less than 17.5 kW increased by 36.2% to 602,514 external groups compared to 442,222 in the first half of 2025. In August, acceleration since sales increased by 44.4%. These are reversible systems, almost exclusively R32 now, even if R290 in direct expansion is taking its first steps, notably at Mitsubishi Electric. The 53 days of heatwave that began in May this year naturally contributed to the increase in sales. Summer comfort is becoming a real public health issue. On the DRV side, large direct expansion systems used in the tertiary sector increased slightly to 19,376 outdoor units, an improvement of 5.6% compared to 2025.

Ventilation also drops
Sales of ventilation solutions in homes fell by 0.7% for single-flow systems in all homes and more significantly by 12% for double-flow solutions in individual homes. Likewise, in the tertiary sector sales fell by 3.5% for single flow and by 3.2% for double flow. However, underlines Uniclima, 70% of classrooms in France have a level of indoor air quality which does not promote the learning of knowledge. The association therefore requests that ventilation be considered as a lever for improving public health, rather than as a solution for reducing energy consumption.
R290 or nothing for monobloc heat pumps
Even more clearly than usual, R290 is the universal fluid for outdoor packaged heat pumpswith an increase in machine power. First stop, the Atlantic Systèmes stand which becomes its own brand in carbon-free and multi-energy heating, domestic hot water, ventilation and air conditioning, and displays a European ambition. Atlantic Systèmes focuses on solutions for collective housing and tertiary buildings, both in gas boilers and in thermodynamics and other electrical solutions. Side heat pumpsAtlantic Systèmes exhibited its new Aptae L air/water heat pump which will be available from March 2027 to replace existing models. With only 1.50 m in height and less than 1.20 m in width, their installation fits more easily into the roof. They can be cascaded to reach 240 to 300 kW of power. A standard integrated Modbus gateway allows their connection to a BMS. They can also be controlled by Atlantic’s Navistem T4000 regulators, including the new T4100 available from March 2027. These regulators take charge of controlling the cascades.
Atlantic Systems also presents three new Aptaé XXL models of 60-75 kW, 70-85 kW and 85-100 kW. Still at R290, cascadeable up to 500 kW. The new Aptaé The range boasts a COP of up to 4.36 and a SCOP of up to 4.60.
Atlantic’s Genesis Black Line VRF upgrades to R32 with a 60 kW outdoor unit, cascadeable to 80 kW. The new 2/3-pipe GENESIS VM and VD BLACK LINE outdoor units, as well as the new wall-mounted and 1-way cassettes, make it possible to meet more configurations, in particular projects requiring simultaneous heating and cooling operation. Resettable leak detectors integrated into the indoor units, supplemented with visual and audible alarms, with the possibility of adding external leak detectors depending on the applications. SCOP up to 4.8 and SEER up to 8 on some models, with continuous heating. © PP
For collective and tertiary projects, Atlantic Systems offers a support program. Before the construction site, its teams provide technical advice and can intervene on site to anticipate installation and maintenance constraints. A pre-visit then makes it possible to check that the installation is ready for commissioning and to identify any necessary adjustments. During commissioning, Atlantic Systems technicians carry out checks, adjustments and configuration of the equipment. Support continues after start-up thanks to technical assistance, checks and video assistance. Dedicated training also allows professionals to develop their skills and gain autonomy on these installations.
In ventilation, Atlantic Systems offers a single flow extraction box classified C4 with fire resistance, fully removable and reassemblable: 13 models from 400 to 11,000 m3/h of air flow. Two software programs accompany these boxes: Select Air for selection and costing, Air Builder for layout and sizing. © PP
For classroom ventilation, Atlantic Systems is exhibiting AERIO LINE, a range of decentralized double-flow ventilation units with nominal flow rates of 700 and 1000 m3/h and an operating range of 200 to 1000 m3/h. Air Motion regulation adjusts flow rates according to needs and allows single-zone control with constant or variable flow. The onboard web server and its Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP and BACnet IP compatibility facilitate its integration into the GTC. © PP
For collective and tertiary heat pump installations, Atlantic Systems offers a range of electric backup boilers. They come from the ACV brand, owned by AQtlantic, manufactured in Belgium and reach 259 kW of power in only 60 cm of width. © PP
Weishaupt presents a very wide range of technical solutions
Very close to the Atlantic Systems stand is that of Weishaupt, which offers burners, wall-mounted and floor-standing gas condensing boilers and heat pumps. Its WTC-GW wall-mounted gas condensing boilers from 15 to 100 kW can be cascaded up to 800 kW. On the ground, the Thermo Condens range offers models from 15 kW to 620 kW of unit power with significant power modulations: 1.5 to 15 kW or 64 to 620 kW, for example. Weishaupt is even one of the rare manufacturers to still offer floor-standing oil boilers, from 15/21 kW to 16/26 kW.

But Weishaupt also offers new air/water and brine/water heat pump models, operating on R290. The Evoblock air/water range constitutes the entry level of Weishaupt heat pumps and offers 4 models of 10, 14, 15 and 20 kW of power. While the Aeroblcok air/water heat pumps offer a more high-end solution with three models of 8, 11 and 14kW. Weishaupt also offers Geoblock geothermal heat pumps: two models of 8 and 14 kW for indoor installation, a 20 kW model with R290 for outdoor installation. All Weishaupt heat pumps can be stacked with up to 5 devices to reach 100 kW of power. Its air/water models up to 60 kW, without any particular range name, also use R290 and can be cascaded up to 840 kW. Its new Geoblock brine/water heat pumps also use R290 and are intended for outdoor installation. For their marketing, Weishaupt has developed a complete offer: drilling and installation of probes, as well as supply of the heat pump.

Grant, the Irishman who sells heat pumps, wood boilers and biofuel boilers
We finally stopped at Grant, an Irish company which offers R290 air/water heat pumpsmade in China for the moment. The brand arrived in France in 2018 and settled in Chambéry. It also has a stock of machines in Arnas (69). The brand also manufactures and markets wood log, pellet and hybrid log/pellet boilers, as well as biofuel boilers compatible with H30 biofuel.
Grant’s range of biofuel boilers includes five Vortex Utility models of 18, 24, 32, 52 and 64 kW low-NOx, as well as the Vortex H20 model. These boilers use a Cuenod burner. © PP
The range of triple service heat pumps – heating, DHW, cooling – Grant Aérona R290 offers powers of 4, 6.5, 9, 12 and 16 kW. All models have Quiet Mark certification around 30 dB(A) at 3 m. © PP
Grant Spira Pell Eco pellet boilers offer powers of 5-18 kW, 7-25 kW and 9-33 kW, display a particularly low fine particle emission rate equivalent to the 7-star Flamme Verte label. They are equipped with a modulating and self-cleaning rotary burner. © PP
