In Marcoussis to the south of Paris, the A19 agency will deliver a village hall in the Parc des Célestins, with a framework which outlines the curves of the slope and invites the surrounding nature through its accidents.
Publi-Information
End of September 2026, in the afternoon at Célestins Park of Marcoussis. THE construction of the village hall is not finished, but it is undoubtedly the best time to admire its framework and the beauty of the wood still full of freshness and shining under this blazing sun of the interminable drought, but in the middle of a park that the village hall wants to magnify. In cladding, the Piveteau vibrato vibrate, this vertical false louver with fine blade effect which has proven itself on the market for fifteen years.

Visible and not visible
This is the right time because we discover on the underside of the room the non-visible aspect of the CLT panels, blue and brown which create an abstract composition. We measure the evolution of tastes, today, the non-visible becomes on the contrary the sought-after visible. No visible no on the other hand for the edges of the frame which will remain visible. It is not necessarily a choice of‘A19 agency but a market reality. Despite the systematic destruction of the European spruce park, the BLC marketunlike that of the CLT, does not or only little integrates the look crisis wood.

A memorized earthwork
Cruard has done his work, Jean-Michel Pinault of the Malisan architecture agency controls the execution. THE structural elementsprobably ordered from several places, both the European spruce BLC market is interchangeable, have been so well machined and assembled on site that everything matches. Whereas everything here is askew. The beams do not attempt to limit their influence by a massive section, on the contrary. The possibility of producing thin elements of great height allows them to be machined whenever necessary. reproduce the slope of the ground without affecting their bearing capacity. The invisible connections work from all angles and the wood also protects them against fire. But the most impressive thing is the fineness of the support posts.

The fineness of the supports
The exterior curtain wall protects the posts without deviating from its framework, the black uprights disappear to reveal the park. Inside, the fineness of the beams continues as is and is found in the endings exterior posts that carry the awning. In a rare place, the work of BE wood Yves-Marie Ligot slightly thickens the post in depth. We barely notice it, even if it adds a few cking of Saint-André in steel at the corners of the volume. This is not a carpenter framebut of the transposition of an architectural design whose result will be discovered at the end of the year. At that time, the awnings which reflect the autumn sun so well will be equipped with protective blinds to deter incursions into the central park, when the room is not in use.

A19 also delivers the Laronce estate to Marcoussis, unfortunately, once again in this heatwave period which is totally insensitive to carbon, with a MOB project switched to cladding, which tenants will appreciate during the next heatwaves. © Jonas Tophoven
Marcoussis nature and economy
The idyll is financed by the logistics and AI development of this town bordering the agglomeration, conveniently located between the A10 and the A104, on a plateau formerly dedicated to market gardening. Marcoussis is also the French Rugby Federation and we are next to the Montléry circuit. The municipality is currently delivering, in addition to its village hall, the Laronce estate also with the A19 agency, around the old Château de la Ronce, around a hundred social housing units set out in nature, where the agency hoped to create the usual current mix of concrete and MOB structures, but which has become wooden cladding.
Earth and cabbages
Added to this is the third place of Chêne Rond in adobe Terrio, by the Clics et des Calques agency, without forgetting the beautiful market hall built and rebuilt by James, market gardener Marco Mascetti, of public notoriety in the Parisian markets because of his cultivation approach placed in opposition to what is taught, and which is one of the rare Parisian food suppliers close enough to the stalls to reach the fields after closing. There are all kinds of things happening at the moment in Marcoussis.
A19 between the A10 and the A104
A19 is also the Trousseau crèche, ten years ago, the first of the ephemeral (wooden) crèches intended to be modular, for Paris, the only one actually built, already with Cruard, in 3D modular. The agency likes wood and challenges but as in the case of Laronce and like many other agencies today, it must comply with the rules of the market. As soon as a municipality has the means, as in a wet desert, however, the flowers of current biogeosourced architecture bloom more beautiful than ever.
