Artificial Intelligence is revolutionizing the way of planning, drawing, communicating and managing workflows in architectural firms, as we are seeing week after week also with our column Architectural Prompting. Along with the opportunities, however, new responsibilities also emerge: to what extent is it legitimate to delegate part of the creative process to the algorithm? Who owns the authorship of an AI-generated image or project? And how does the ethical role of the architect change in the face of these transformations?
Course objectives and contents
The course, designed for architects and design studios, offers an in-depth overview of how to use Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI Gen) in conception, design and automation processes, while analyzing the ethical and legal aspects.
During the four-hour training, participants will learn to:
- understand the creative and operational potential of generative AI applied to architecture and design;
- automate technical and management activities in architecture studios;
- evaluate the ethical implications linked to the use of AI, from intellectual property to relationships with clients;
- prevent risks of plagiarism or copyright infringement through an ethical and conscious approach.
Course structure
The training program is divided into four thematic modules:
- creative prompting for enhanced design;
- practical applications of generative AI in architectural and interior design;
- automation of technical-economic workflows in architectural firms;
- ethical, legal and deontological aspects of the use of AI.
Accreditation and participation methods
The course is being accredited for 4 CFP for Architects. Participants will be issued a certificate of participation.
The online course will be accessible from PCs and mobile devices (smartphones/tablets), without the need for a webcam. The participant will receive an email containing the link to access the virtual classroom.
