After fourteen months under the receivership regime, Edilteco France is marking a decisive turning point in its recent history: the commercial court, on April 22, 2026, pronounced the official end of this procedure, confirming the return to a stabilized situation for the industrialist, who is now approaching this new sequence with measured but assertive confidence, in a sectoral environment still marked by strong tensions.

As a reminder, Edilteco France, the subsidiary of Italian group Edilteco, is based in Sèvremoine (49). It manufactures and markets :

– expanded polystyrene sheets for theinterior and exterior thermal insulation ;

EPS aggregates for screeds, mortars and lightweight concrete;

– ready-to-use, thermo-acoustic lightweight screeds and mortars;

– complete exterior thermal insulation systems.

Since the purchase of two production sites (PSE and concrete) in Vaucluse (84), in Le Pontet, during 2020, Edilteco France is developing in the flooring sector (joists and interjoists).

An exit from the procedure evidencing a major restructuring

For Laurent Mainy, director of Edilteco Francethis constrained parenthesis will have constituted much more than a simple safeguard system, by offering the company the opportunity to thoroughly review its internal balances in order to better respond to the sudden deterioration of the market occurring from 2023: “we had to adapt to the evolution of the French construction market, which entered into crisis in 2023. Our processes and our investments made our structure too rigid. The legal recovery procedure, which we requested voluntarily, was a tool to rethink our organization and regain more balanced functioning.“.

In this period of fourteen months, the company has undertaken a major restructuringbased on a careful examination of its costs and its operating methods, leading to a series of structuring decisions intended to consolidate its long-term viability. At the forefront of these is the reorganization of its productive apparatus, with the closure of one of the two sites located in Vauclusean assumed choice aimed at concentrating resources on the other unit in order to optimize industrial output, while, of the fourteen employees concerned, two were able to be reclassified locally, reflecting the company’s desire to limit as much as possible the social impact of these arbitrations.

This phase of transformation has, at the same time, made it possible to reaffirm the fundamentals of the company around two structuring requirements – maintaining the level of quality of products and their certifications, on the one hand, and increased cost control, on the other –, with management also emphasizing the determining role played by the teams in the success of this turnaround: “employee mobilization was a key factor. Without their daily involvement and commitment, this recovery would not have been possible.“, underlines Laurent Mainy.

A collective mobilization

Beyond the internal sphere, the company also highlights the support it has received from its ecosystem: customers, suppliers and industrial partners who have accompanied this delicate period in a spirit of continuity and solidarity which has contributed to secure the restructuring trajectory.

“We were touched by the understanding and loyalty of our partners. This demonstrates that, behind commercial relations, there is also a human dimension,” explains Laurent Mainy, on the left in the photo – with Paulo Stabellini, the CEO of the Italian group –, recalling at the same time how group dynamics constitute an essential lever for all entities. © Ouest-France

Industrial company established in France for more than 25 years, Edilteco France maintains its status as an independent family SMEa positioning that has become rare in the construction sector. This identity undoubtedly fostered the collective commitment that allowed the company to get through this period. THE president of the Italian parent company, Paolo Stabellini, Edilteco SpA. at the origin of the group active for forty-five years, also joined in this collective recognition, saluting the commitment of all the employees mobilized alongside the French subsidiary: “I would like to thank all of the group’s employees who mobilized alongside Edilteco France to help it get through this period and carry out its restructuring. Their commitment and solidarity were decisive“.

The latter also recalls that the strength of the group is based on close cooperation between its entities: “our research and development center, based in Italy, works in close collaboration with French teams to design ever more adapted and efficient solutions for the French market. This capacity for innovation and this synergy between our teams constitute an essential lever in the success and recovery of Edilteco France“.

A relaunch under the sign of innovation and the market

Now with this redesigned organization, the company intends to consolidate its positions in its historic markets while continuing to explore new growth drivers, relying in particular on innovation and the continuous improvement of its technical solutions, which are expected to remain structuring axes of its development.

In this perspective, and as the Batimat show approaches, three new products will be unveiled, including a first, KRONOS AUTOLIV, already available, while Edilteco France and Edilteco SpA. will exhibit jointly, illustrating the French SME’s desire to reaffirm its industrial roots, its know-how and its development trajectory at the service of building professionals.
