The update, complete with over 50 editable and customizable modules, provides useful tools and indications to follow in managing the emergency related to the spread of COVID-19 infection on construction sites. The aim was to give the text a practical slant, based on the experience gained in this period in consultancy, with pre-filled examples of specific documents, procedures, protocols, checklists, signage, which can be used to manage the risk of COVID-19 contagion on construction sites. The update takes into consideration ALL the activities operating in a construction company and/or on a construction site, divided for ease of consultation into 3 groups: Artisans, individual firms and self-employed workers who operate on construction sites, without workers; Construction companies operating on construction sites, with employees or employee-worker partners or worker-partners; Safety Coordinator’s Obligations in the Design and Execution Phase This new Guide to Safety Plans 2.0, now in its second edition, is renewed and updated to the state of the art in terms of technical and regulatory developments to offer a real guided path for drafting the Safety and Coordination Plan (PSC), the Technical File (FT), the Operational Safety Plan (POS) and the Substitute Safety Plan (PSS), accompanying the reader step by step in drafting, organizing and managing the documentation. The work sheets and forms, downloadable from the cloud, are editable and customizable according to specific needs and have been updated while maintaining the innovative graphic layout of the previous edition, with the addition of some features to facilitate work. The signage relating to the PPE necessary for the correct performance of the work has also been maintained and enriched. In line with the requests made over the years by the control bodies, this guide offers a clear, comprehensible and precise operational tool, further improved and refined by the experience gained by the Authors during many years of professional practice on construction sites as safety managers and coordinators. This new edition deepens and extends the treatment with additional machine sheets, homogeneous groups and work sheets, such as for example:• remediation of war ordnance;• road accidents and site safety;• archaeological excavations;• installation of road signs;• updating of asbestos remediation sheet. Furthermore, the contents of the machine sheets, homogeneous groups and work sheets already present in the previous edition have been integrated with the risks from exposure to Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) and Artificial Optical Radiation (AOR). Furthermore, the indications regarding the management of documents during the construction site phases are of particular importance, especially with regard to the updating methods. There are clear instructions for correctly exercising coordination and control of the construction site, through reports, forms and updates: not only of interferences and work, but also of companies and self-employed workers, both from the point of view of the contracting and/or executing company and the coordinator.
