The agreement signed between the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Intesa Sanpaolo Spa marks a historic moment in the management of tax credits linked to the Superbonus and represents an innovative maneuver in the national panorama.

This partnership, which involves numerous legal entities in the area, has the aim of breaking a deadlock that has been weighing on businesses and families for over a year, by putting into circulation resources for 75 million euros. The operation not only promises to revive the regional economy but also to serve as a model for similar initiatives in other regions of Italy.

This article explores the dynamics and potential of this agreement, outlining how it could impact the economic and social fabric of Friuli Venezia Giulia and beyond.

An initiative for the Superbonus

February 6 marked the beginning of an innovative path for the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, with the signing of a letter of intent between the Region itself and Intesa Sanpaolo Spa. This agreement provides for the re-transfer and subsequent purchase of tax credits by the banking institution, an operation that aims to resolve the block of tax credits linked to the Superbonus.

With a value of 75 million euros, the operation was described by governor Massimiliano Fedriga as “virtuous“, capable of tackling a problem that has hit the regional economic fabric hard.

The objective is to generate tangible benefits for the entire regional economy, offering a concrete and timely response to the national blockade on issue of tax credits.

The initiative not only aims to unblock funds that have been blocked for too long but is also proposed as a model of collaboration between the public and private sectors. The approach adopted involves the active involvement of various legal entities linked to the Friuli Venezia Giulia territory, indicating a collaborative and inclusive path.

Involvement and benefits for the territory

The strategy adopted by the agreement between the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Intesa Sanpaolo Spa stands out for its inclusive approach, involving eleven different legal entities, including reclamation consortia, specialized companies and regional financial institutions.

This collaboration between public and private bodies not only amplifies the effectiveness of the operation but also ensures that the benefits deriving from the circulation of tax credits extend to the entire territory. Through the stipulation of individual contracts with these entities, Intesa Sanpaolo Spa undertakes to transfer the tax credits in its possession, promoting greater financial fluidity and consequently supporting the businesses and families of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Governor Fedriga and the Councilor for Finance, Barbara Zilli, underlined how the operation reflects a strong signal of attention and listening towards the needs of local communities, aiming to unlock the tax credits of businesses and citizens and to improve the conditions of circularity of tax credits in the territory.

This initiative not only has the potential to solve a real problem, but also sets an important precedent for how regions can interact with financial institutions to address and resolve economic challenges.
