Wooden construction manual
This manual aims to become the reference for designers on the principles and rules of a wooden construction. The work addresses the design sector of wooden buildings in the round, analyzing themes such as: the sustainability and efficiency of the material, the fire behavior and in situations of environmental humidity, the lightness of the material and its behavior in seismic zone and in the sector of energy restoration. The theme of prefabrication is analyzed as a fundamental element of the design path, evaluating its indisputable benefits. Through concrete examples of buildings built, the main wooden construction systems, from massive to light construction systems, deepening the theme of the constructive and design flexibility of the material. The book deepens the design themes (from preliminary to the executive) with particular references to the main nodes (attack on the ground, wall node, wall-laio, wall-tear, wall-test) to advanced ones (elevations, thermal coat , etc.). Numerous cases of study support the reader at an operational level, showing in practice the design procedures and strategies to create energy -efficient, long -lasting and safe wooden buildings from a seismic and structural point of view. Paolo De Martin architect of wooden design expert, energy consultant for the CasaClima agency since 2002. He has been carrying out the CasaClima Agency and other technical training activities on behalf of conferences, seminars and trade fairs in the national and international field on the theme of the Energy -efficient design and on the renovation of the existing.
