AIFERR. strengthens its structure: the technical scientific committee is born

A team of experts to face the challenges of the sector

The new AIFERR CTS. It makes use of the contribution of high -profile experts:

  • Prof. Alberto Maria Benedetti: Private Private Private Law at the University of Genoa, extraordinary commissioner added to the port system authority of the western Ligurian Sea and already a member of the Superior Council of the judiciary;
  • Avv. Mattia Crucioli: owner of an important law firm in Genoa and former senator of the Republic;
  • Avv. Pietro Mandelli: expert in public contracts and head of law firms in Milan and Genoa.

Thanks to their competence, the CTS will support AIFERR. in the processing of technical and regulatory proposals, strengthening the comparison with the main stakeholders in the sector.

AIFIFERR priorities. for the future

The establishment of the CTS is part of a wider AIFIFERR strategy, aimed at improving the operating conditions of associated companies. Among the main critical issues on which the Association intends to intervene include:

  • General conditions of contract for RFI works: AIFERR. He presented observations to the new version during the drafting phase, asking for an active involvement in the definition process;
  • Company qualification systems: The Association aims to guarantee a fair system that does not penalize the SMEs and respects the principle of free competition;
  • timing of administrative procedures: delays in the admission and extension of the RFI categories can damage companies; AIFERR. urges faster and more transparent procedures;
  • CSR rating and sustainability: With the introduction of new evaluation criteria by the FS group, the Association is asking for a preventive interlocution to allow companies to adapt without penalties;
  • reward criteria in the RFI races: AIFERR. proposes the publication of an annual programmatic document that advances the ISO certifications and the technical certificates required;
  • intermediation role: AIFERR. It is proposed as a privileged interlocutor for companies, facilitating the comparison with RFI and reducing the dispute.

A step forward for the sector

Thanks to the birth of the CTS, AIFERR. It strengthens its ability to affect the dynamics of the railway, road and maritime sector, promoting a constructive dialogue between businesses and institutions.

The goal is to guarantee greater transparency, equity and competitiveness In the tender and qualifying procedures, for the benefit of the entire Italian infrastructure sector.
