MidJourney: an ally, not a one-size-fits-all solution

In recent years, MidJourney has established itself as an extraordinary tool in the architectural design panorama and beyond. However, we must not see it as a definitive solution or the only possible approach, but rather as a versatile support that can be integrated into different phases of the design workflow.

  • Ideation: to explore new concepts.
  • Design: as a tool for inspiration.
  • Visualization: to create high-impact final outputs.

MidJourney does not replace our creativity or the precision of traditional technical tools, but amplifies them, making operations that previously took hours faster and more effective.

Practical advice: architectural post-production

Anyone who works in the industry knows how much the post-production phase can be long and, at times, frustrating. Let’s take a concrete example: improving a prospectus or working on the post-production of a project rendering. How many times have we found ourselves having to desperately search for trees, objects or street furniture in PNG format, facing long searches on the internet or limiting ourselves to often paid libraries?

With the support of the MidJourney tool, this process can be completely revolutionized. With a simple custom prompt it is possible Indeed, generate trees, textures or details perfectly adaptable to the projectguaranteeing a level of precision and customization never seen before.

Prompts: “Collection of realistic trees, different shapes and heights, isolated on a pure white background, highly detailed, sharp focus, studio lighting.”

Another common problem in the post production field concerns theinsertion of human figures on our tables. Searching for images that are consistent with the style of the project and suitable for the context is often complicated. As with the previous example we can see how we can create it by writing a prompt figures who totally support the narrative of our project.

Prompts: “Side view of people walking, realistic style, casual and professional outfits, isolated on pure black background, highly detailed and clean, sharp focus, studio lighting.”
