As regards the choice of the most suitable model of safety shoes, first of all you must be aware of the classification of the latter. The legislation currently in force provides for a differentiation between shoes equipped with a safety level S, which branches out into various declinations.

For example, SB represents the basic safety level, given that these are shoe models that can only protect against impacts. The models characterized by the initials S1, however, also manage to guarantee antistatic resistance, as well as anti-shock for the heel. Indicated with S1P are the models also equipped with a special anti-puncture plate, while the S2 are made with a water-repellent upper, which makes the shoes completely waterproof up to a maximum temporal threshold of 60 minutes, even if they do not have the anti-perforation plate. The S3 models have both an anti-perforation midsole and a water-repellent upper, while the S4 are able to guarantee waterproofness for an even longer time. Finally, the S5 represent the best in terms of foot protection.
