Design manual for energy redevelopment

This manual deals with the theme of the redevelopment and energy restoration of existing buildings from a conceptual and technical point of view, offering the reader an operational tool to design and correctly put all the interventions aimed at improving the energy performance of the building envelope. The text deals with different topics, starting from the general concepts relating to materials and installation. Secondly, construction systems, wall systems and insulating materials are analyzed, since it is necessary to know the materials, their characteristics and costs and then be able to apply them at best. In the third part they deal with: the internal isolation and the external coat always with a view to the redevelopment of buildings with the relative implementation and possible laying errors. A fundamental focus of the text is the analysis of thermal bridges and the solution of the fundamental nodes: wall-laio, overhangs, roof, roof insulation and last floor.
