Energy diagnosis of buildings
An accurate energy diagnosis requires a detailed and complete collection of data on the building geometry, material characteristics, local climate, energy consumption and end-user needs.
This volume contains all the information and tools, theoretical and practical, to set up a complete and reliable energy diagnosis, thanks to the many years of experience in the field that the Authors wanted to share with all professionals.
The energy diagnosis takes a snapshot of the energy status of the building at the time of the analysis and prescribes possible strategies to improve its performance, with the aim of saving energy while maintaining the same level of comfort or even improving it.
With this objective in mind, the work offers an exhaustive operational path, starting from the regulations that govern energy diagnosis and arriving at the explanation of the techniques and tools available, to be completed with an application example explained “step by step” to accurately carry out this task.

Engineer, expert in energy analysis of buildings, she is Product Manager of the TERMOLOG software by Logical Soft, a leading software for certification, thermo-technical design, energy diagnosis, dynamic simulation and tax bonuses. She is a speaker in training courses on energy matters with thousands of hours of teaching under her belt. Through her very popular Linkedin profile, she talks every day about concrete solutions to energy efficiency problems. She is president of the Italian Association of Women Engineers and Architects for the province of Lecco and is a member of the Council of the Order of Engineers of the province of Lecco. She participates in the technical tables of the Italian Thermotechnical Committee (CTI) for the drafting of technical standards in the energy sector. She is co-author of the Posters for tax deductions for buildings, for energy saving and for photovoltaics created by Logical Soft for ENEA as part of the national Campaign Italy in Class A.
Mirko Giuntini
Engineer, he has been working on eco-sustainable building projects for years. He is an energy consultant and teacher for the CasaClima Agency, Expert in Sustainable Building (EES) and Expert in Energy Management (EGE). He teaches in specialization courses and masters on environmental sustainability and sustainable construction issues organized by professional associations, public and private bodies, schools and training centers of national importance.
