The event will take place at the Refectory by Andrea Pozzo (Trinità dei Monti 3), completely frescoed in 1693 by the great artist who inspired the Festival. A real laboratory/workshop where, during a three-day full immersionarchitects and decorators will work together, guided by the top experts in the sector, to create illusory perspective spaces.
The event will culminate with the production of afinal art installationcomposed of the works of each participant, which, depending on the point of view, will appear as a single work or a spatial decomposition of the individual parts. The installation will be exhibited in the Refectory.
The Festival is based on an innovative concept, since brings together architects and decoratorsmerging architecture and pictorial art, to celebrate Painted Architecture in a practical, scientific and contemporary way. The aim is to to establish an international network of institutions, academies, architects and decoratorsto promote Painted Architecture as an artistic heritage and to encourage its research and regeneration in a modern language.
