The selected candidates will be classified in the professional profile Surveillance area instructor – Park ranger(former category Ceconomic position C1) to be included in the Instructors’ Area of the role of non-managerial staff of the Lazio Regional Council. The competition procedure for the 55 park ranger positions includes two selection phases:
- Written testwhich may be performed with IT tools and may consist of open-ended questions or synthetic or multiple choice quizzes on the subjects indicated in the notice, namely:
- in summary: Regulations on protected natural areas, regulations on Natura 2000 Network Sites, regulations on invasive alien species, forestry and forest fire regulations, wildlife management, hunting and fishing in inland waters, regulations on the collection of mushrooms, truffles and products of the undergrowth, protection of the geological and speleological heritage, building regulations and landscape protection, sustainable development and environmental education, ecology and nature conservation, Judicial Police procedures and administrative sanctions, Environmental Code, elements of administrative law, regional law, legislation on public employment relationships, code of conduct for public employees.
- Oral testwhich will include:
- Interview on exam subjects;
- Verification of knowledge of English language;
- Verification of computer skills.
To pass the tests you must obtain a minimum score of 21/30.

Park rangers have the task of supervising and protecting protected natural areas, carrying out activities such as:
