Pre-selective Customs Agency Competition 2024: all the useful information

As we know, they have been there for a few days Registrations for the 2024 Customs Agency Competition have been concluded for hiring 564 officials. In particular, 72 positions are reserved for engineers, while for the other 492 positions it was possible to apply with any specialist or master's degree.

We remind you that the profiles sought by the competition notice were the following:

  • Officer tax administration: 487 places – ADM/FAMM code;
  • Officer tax administrator expert in communication: 5 places – ADM/COM code;
  • Officer Professional technician expert in the excise sector: 72 places – Code ADM/ING.

The last of the three profiles, ADM/ING, the one reserved for candidates with a degree in Engineering and registration in the Register of Engineers, does not provide for the completion of the pre-selective testwhich therefore it will only affect ADM/FAM and ADM/COM profiles.

Pre-selective Customs Agency Competition 2024: subjects

The pre-selection test – foreseen only for the profiles of tax administrator and tax administrator expert in communication – consists of a test of 50 multiple choice questionswith three answer options, to be completed in 50 minutes. Compensatory measures are foreseen for candidates with DSA; the candidates with disabilities ≥ 80% are exempt from the pre-selection, subject to declaration and documentation in the application.

The test (which does not require prior publication of the database) will be structured as follows:

  • 30 aptitude questions to verify your logical-deductive ability and of logical-mathematical reasoning,
  • 5 questions from administrative law,
  • 5 questions from Political Economy,
  • 5 questions from English language,
  • 5 basic knowledge questions office automation tools.

Pre-selective Customs Agency Competition 2024: score

Each question will have 3 answer options, with only one correct answer. The evaluation system includes:

  • +1 point for each correct answer,
  • 0 points for no answers given,
  • -0.33 points for incorrect answers.

The maximum score is 50 pointswith no minimum for passing.

At the end of the pre-selection, based on the scores obtained by the candidates, a list will be drawn up for each competition code and for each territorial area. A number of candidates will then access the written test 10 times the number of places foreseen for each competition code for each territorial areaplus any candidates placed at equal score last place in the ranking order.
