At the starting line theeighth edition of the online course Project management methodology, techniques and toolsorganized by Formazione Maggioli in collaboration with the University of Udine and edited by the teacher Stefano Tonchia.
The training course is particularly aimed at RUP of procurement: in fact, remember that the new Contract Code (Annex I.2 Legislative Decree no. 36/2023), requires the RUP to possess “adequate competence as a Project Manager, also acquired through successful attendance of training courses on Project Management”. The course is also recommended for responsible figures operating in the technical area or engaged in the management of PNRR/PNC projects.
The course, live online on the Zoom platform, it will be held over the next few days 7, 19, 25 November, and 2 and 9 December 2024 (from 9.00-12.30 and 14.00-17.30), for a total of 35 hours of training.
Project management methodology, techniques and tools: course contents
Based on the international PM standards (SME®) and on the international standard ISO 21502 (2020) “Guide to Project Management“, deals – with methodological rigor and an operational approach – with all aspects of Project Management in order to understand, set up and control the progress of projects, both in the role of Project Manager and as members of project teams, making the “culture” its own project” and the application of international project management best practices.
The course – held by Prof. Stefano Tonchiainternationally renowned teacher and author of publications on the subject – aims to improve the skills of:
- prepare projects compatible with the established objectives;
- manage the resources, human and otherwise, involved in the projects;
- manage the planning and progress of projects, respecting objectives, times and budgets;
- use IT supports for Project Management (Microsoft Project and Open Project Libre), increasingly requested, even in the public sector and in tenders, as a management tool for the presentation of projects and their control/reporting.
Project management methodology, techniques and tools: course duration and certifications
The course – of total duration of 35 hours (5 lessons of 7 hours each) and reserved for a maximum number of 30 participants – represents one of the two prerequisites for the most important, high and widespread international professional certification of Project Management: the Project Management Professional PMP®; of the Project Management Institute PMI®.
Please remember that the other prerequisite is being able to demonstrate PM experience for a total in hoursnot necessarily in a consecutive period, corresponding to 2 years – 3 years – 5 years (if in possession of a master’s or specialist degree – a three-year degree or university diploma – a high school diploma respectively). In the absence of such experience, there is no reason to take an exam for professional PM certifications that do not require previous experience (such as the CAPM®; of the PMI®).
The course is valid for the purposes of the qualification process of contracting authorities (specialist level category).
