Urban natural stone paving: durability and high performance with FASSAFLOOR PAVÉ systems

The range includes two different systems with two different premixed mortars for bedding, depending on the type of stresses to which the flooring composed of stone elements (pebbles, cubes, smolleri, blocks, slabs) is subjected: FASSAFLOOR PAVÉ 80, to resist strong stresses, and FASSAFLOOR PAVÉ 50 where instead the vehicular traffic is lighter. To complete both systems, FASSAFLOOR GROUT is the pre-mixed mortar specific for sealing joints.

Compared to traditional systems, with the laying of stones on a loose bed with sand sealing or with cement dusting, these two systems offer greater mechanical resistance, stability and durability of the floors, ease of cleaning and rapid driveability. The result is a reduction in maintenance times and costs and at the same time fewer waiting times, inconveniences or accident risks for citizens. Let’s look at the two solutions in more detail.

FASSAFLOOR PAVÉ 80 system

FASSAFLOOR PAVÉ 80 is designed in particular to restore and create urban natural stone pavements with high driveability, resistant to heavy or persistent loads, vibrations, freeze and thaw cycles, the use of de-icing salts and sea water, as well as chemical substances linked to car emissions.

The solution involves positioning, above a suitable structural element, a bedding layer made with FASSAFLOOR PAVÉ 80 – premixed mortar with compressive strength 80 N/mm² – on which stone elements of any size and thickness are laid.

The joints are then filled with the premixed FASSAFLOOR GROUT, creating a stable and long-lasting monolithic element.

FASSAFLOOR PAVÉ 50 system

FASSAFLOOR PAVÉ 50 is the solution dedicated to urban paving that must support light vehicular traffic, but equally resistant to freeze and thaw cycles, salts and pollution.

A bedding layer made with FASSAFLOOR PAVÉ 50 – premixed mortar with compressive strength 50 N/mm is positioned on the base² – on which stone elements of any size and thickness are laid. Also in this case the joints are filled with the premixed FASSAFLOOR GROUT.
