One of the factors that contribute to determining the success of a construction site – where “success” means the completion of the work within the established timeframe, without waste, in a sustainable way and in compliance with the needs of the workers – is certainly the use of the logistics spaces of the construction site same.
Regardless of the type and size of the construction site, in fact, it is the task of those who plan the construction site to make the best use of spaces that are often limited or difficult to access. The end of planning is precisely the destination of the right space for each function and, consequently, of each space in relation to the others.
Only in this way can the construction site, once started, function perfectly.
Once the necessary functions have been determined – toilets, canteen, offices, warehouses – someone is needed who can supply the products to best organize and manage these functions.
This is where we talk about Sebach.

There is a company that has been offering these services since its inception: Sebach
The Tuscan company was founded in 1987, and from the first day it has had in shipbuilding his favourite sector of intervention. Almost forty years later, with an extensive product catalogue, an increasingly widespread service throughout the country, maximum attention to the sustainability of its work and its entry into the international TOI TOI & DIXI group, Sebach – it must be said – is going stronger than ever.
Just walk around Italian cities, or travel the streets in every corner of the country, to see the iconic red cabins emerging from construction sites and, together with them, a series of “additional” products to the portable toilets, such as multifunctional monoblocs, hand basins, barriers…
These are the Sebach product lines that group together the products useful for shipbuilding:
- Mobile Line: portable toilets and other sanitary facilities,
- Stay Lineversatile monoblock structures,
- Modular Linestackable modular prefabricated buildings,
- Hand Linehand hygiene solutions,
- Plus Linebarriers for space management.

Portable toilets and other construction site sanitation services
Don’t Call Them Chemical Toilets: What’s the Difference?
Among workers’ rights, there is access to adequate, clean and safe sanitation.. This is no small thing: in addition to being a value in itself, the psycho-physical well-being of the staff translates into a faster construction site, which functions better, and in which the risk of accidents at work is reduced.
And so we enter the world of chemical toilets – or rather, portable toilets, since this is the correct term for “Sebachs”, as toilets of any type are now affectionately called: waste water and grey water resulting from their use are collected in tanks included in the bathroom design, which are emptied and sanitized at regular intervals; this is part of the complete Sebach service, which we will talk about later.
Chemical toilets, which involve the use of chemical agents to decompose fluids and limit odors, are a completely different matter: but it is indicative that, even when referring to those, they often mention… Sebach!
When we say “iconic products”…
Top San No Touch: the icon in version 2.0
For Sebach, it all started with the Top San, the “red cabin” that became the embodiment of the concept of a portable construction site bathroom. Essential lines, extremely functional features and the obvious red colour: this was the cabin from the very beginning. Beyond its usability, the cabin had a huge advantage: it could be installed almost anywhere – even on construction sites that were difficult to reach, or had limited space, or where there were no sewage or water connections.
In Top San No Touch, Sebach has implemented some measures that make it not only practical to use, but also hygienic: respectively the pedal mechanism and the clean water cleaning system that sanitizes the bathroom after each use, to which is added the complete screening of the waste compartment; and if we want to mention sustainability, we can say that the toilet uses only 0.1 liters of water per use, and that at the end of its life a Top San Sebach is 95% recyclable.
And what about versatility? Suffice it to say that the Top San cabin has been adapted in a series of other products designed for more specific construction site needs: from the All-in-One, a combination of toilet, shower and changing room; to Handy, a “miniaturized” version for when space is really limited, and Re-Move, which can be used where the Sebach Dealer van cannot reach for periodic cleaning.

Construction site logistics: when spaces are demanding
Sebach multifunctional monoblocks
This is a complementary combination: the Sebach portable bathroom and monobloc are, to quote the company website, “a guarantee of a regular and organised work environment”.
Sturdy and functional, The Classic Boxes are multifunctional boxes which can be set up differently depending on the intended use; the boxes are available in different sizes (from the smallest, 2 meters long, up to the 6 meters long largest): in this way, they can meet all needs, and overcome any limitations imposed by the construction site spaces.
Field office, mess room, changing room, infirmary, temporary storage, equipment storage: there is no limit to the functions a Sebach Box can perform.
For the toilets, instead, there are the Smart Boxeswhich offer different toilet and shower configurations, and can be implemented for completely autonomous operation thanks to the Box Minilink technical box.
Modular: see versatility
Launched at the beginning of the year, the modular prefabricated buildings from Sebach’s Modular Line they are starting to populate construction sites – especially the large and long-lasting ones – all over Italy. Their clean and precise appearance makes them particularly visible, but it is their vertical development that makes them decidedly evident.
In fact, the modules can be overlapped, effectively expanding the space available for construction site logistics.
About optimised management of construction site spacetherefore…even when this imposes limitations and restrictions.
To go into detail, the Modular prefabricated line revolves around three basic modules, each available in three different sizes:
- Study: empty containers, to be set up as you prefer; different finishes (full and glass walls, doors and windows) and a complete range of furnishings allow you to customize the modules to the maximum, assigning them to different functions;
- Flexibox: they are pre-set with sanitary facilities – bathrooms and showers – according to the configurations that Sebach’s experience has identified as optimal;
- Stock Container They are the classic naval containers, designed not only for the transport but also for the temporary storage of goods and equipment.
Hand and Plus: the icing on the cake
To make the supplies to construction sites truly complete, Sebach offers the washbasins of the Hand Line (available in single and double columns, or in more structured trailers) and the barriers of the Plus Line, with which to practically manage walkways, fences and spaces to be used for specific functions.

The complete Sebach service
The life of the Sebach bathroom or the multifunctional module does not end with their presence on the construction site.
What Sebach offers is a complete servicewhich from the first contact with the customer follows the needs of the construction site. It begins with the consultancy and the inspection – an essential help, especially in large and complex construction sites, to choose the number and type of products needed; the positioning on site; the fundamental cleaning and periodic maintenance (which in addition to emptying the tanks and sanitizing the bathroom, also includes refilling the consumables); finally, the collection of the products and the disposal of waste water and gray water. All under full insurance coverage.
In short, with each rental, the motto “we take care of everything” that Sebach uses to describe its complete service is verified. Which, let us say, is absolutely reassuring.

Not just a construction site
Finally, we specify that Sebach products are not limited in their use to construction site situations only. In designing bathrooms and multifunctional boxes, the company has also imagined their use
- in the corporate world, to integrate bathroom equipment, for example by installing Sebachs in loading and unloading areas;
- for events, small or large, public and private;
- for public administrations, which can use them to monitor natural areas, public parks, and car parks.
In addition to the products we have seen in this article, Sebach manufactures and rents a series of mobile bathrooms with the most sought-after aesthetic and functional features: those of the Elite Line, which wink at the luxury sector – and the Modulux, recently launched on the market, whose compositions of the four basic modules can also be used indoors.
