The highly anticipated announcement has been published Southern Cohesion Competition 2024 for the recruitment of a total of 2200 permanent officials for the regions of Southern Italy. The Competition, single testhad been approved with the Cohesion Decree 2023 for the strengthening of administrative capacity in the Southern Regions and to improve the management of European Funds.
Of these 2200 positions, most are for technicians: 1140 seats they are in fact for Technical Specialists – to be distributed in various Regions – with degrees relating to the areas of Architecture and Engineeringand others 94 – in two distinct profiles – also require degrees in the technical area.
You can apply until 11.59pm November 7, 2024exclusively online and upon payment of the competition fee of 10 euros. Let’s look specifically at all the positions available, how the selection takes place and how to best prepare.
Southern Cohesion Competition 2024, distribution of places
Specifically, among the 2200 places put up for competition we have (those that require a degree in the technical area are in bold and italics):
- 71 units to be allocated to the Department for Cohesion Policies and the South of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, based in Romedivided as follows:
- 37 units with the profile of financial legal specialist (Code A.1);
- 10 units with the profile of communication and management and IT systems specialist (Code A.2);
- 24 units with the profile of specialist in the scientific and technological sector (Code A.3) of which: 5 units with statistical skills (Code A.3.1), 19 units with technical skills (Code A.3.2);
- 2,129 units to be allocated to the regions of Southern Italydivided into the following profiles:
- Environmental ecological specialist – 75 places (Code B.1);
- Statistical economic specialist – 615 positions (Code B.2);
- Administrative legal specialist – 111 posts (Code B.3);
- Specialist in cultural activities and territorial development – 14 positions (Code B.4);
- Digital IT specialist – 174 positions (Code B.5);
- Technical specialist – 1140 posts (Code B.6).

Southern Cohesion Competition 2024, selection test
The selection will consist of one single written testwith 40 multiple choice questions (to be solved in 60 minutes), divided as follows:
- 25 questions on specific exam subjects for each profilewith the clarification that, of these 25 questions, 15 will focus on cohesion policies;
- 8 questions aimed at verifying logical-deductive and critical-verbal reasoning skills;
- 7 situational questionsrelating to organizational and management issues falling within the scope of studies on organizational behavior.
