Waterproofing and isolation of flat roofs
The first of the two design requests provided for the waterproofing and thermo-acoustic insulation of flat covers to improve the energy performance of the building envelope. A high-performance Saint-Gobain Italia system has therefore been laid for the specific waterproofing and thermo-acoustic insulation of solar roofs and slabs.
The chosen insulating package uses an innovative stratigraphy composed of the combination of branded glass wool panels Isover high density with brand waterproofing membranes Bituverto guarantee excellent thermal insulation levels and a strong reduction in surface temperature, with important energy benefits. Glass wool is produced with over 95% natural raw materials (sand, water and up to 80% recycled glass) and is 100% recyclable.
Applied over the existing sheaths, the glass wool panels Isover Superbac Roofine® G3 and Isover Superbac n roofine® They ensure excellent levels of thermal and acoustic insulation, while the two Bituver Pro-15 membranes and Bituver Pro-15 Mineral California guarantee the adequate waterproofing of the surfaces and a strong reduction in the surface temperature and the light spread by the roofs.
Coat thermal insulation
The second design request instead provided for the application of a performance thermal insulation system with a coat, capable of ensuring ease of laying, suitable class of reaction to fire and maximum resistance to atmospheric agents.
Saint-Gobain Italia intervened with the realization of the thermal insulation in the Weberrtherm Family Black coat with high insulation power and in the B-S1-D0 fire reaction class, designed to protect and decorate the facades of new or existing buildings. The system ensures high durability over time, a high degree of protection of buildings from atmospheric agents and effective thermal insulation. The wide range of colored finishes, present in different granulometries and shades, also allows to obtain multiple possibilities of external decorations.
The system consists of the new panels in EPS Weberrtherm G100 Eco, treated with a specific Saint-Gobain Italia finish cycle and adequately protected by laying the colored acryl-siloxanic Webarcote ACSILCOVER R, water-repellent and algae and mold resistant.
The “size” separation bands, provided for by the regulations to avoid the propagation of the fire in the event of a fire, are made with the Weberrtherm Comfort G3 coat insulation system, which uses the qualities of the Webermm LV034 glass wool panels.
